Heya!!! I'm gonna be participating in The Make Me READ It Read-a-Thon hosted by Val @ The Innocent Smiley and Ely @ A Book So Fathomless from8am on July 20th till 12am on July 27th.
Usually in a read-a-thon I'll choose a stack of books to read and maybe finish my reading goals or fail miserably. This time I'm gonna be realistic and choose two books to read in this read-a-thon.
The ideal of the read-a-thon is that you choose a stack/list of books you want to read and get people to vote what books you HAVE to read, trying to get through as many in a week.
I'm currently in a reading slump and need a way to slide it off and get back into reading.
So here is where I'm trusting YOU my lovely readers to HELP me choose which book I should start with. I've set up a poll for you guys to vote (vote as many times as you wish) and the top two books are the ones I'm gonna read.
What will you Make Me Read?
I'll announce the results here on my blog as well as on twitter so happy voting!!!
This is a very last minute decision but I'm taking part in the Bookentine Readathon organised Michelle from LovelyGirlReads,Ely from abooksofathomless. The Bookentine readathon takes place for a week from the 14th of Feb (aka Valentines day) until the 21st of Feb in your own time zone where the theme is CONTEMPORARY. Check out the Goodreads Group (Click here) for more info. You can read as many books as you want in any Genres as long as its contemporary. There are also come challenges to help choose your reads:
1- Read a book with a mental illness
2- Read a book set in your home Country
3- Read a book with a LGBT character
4- Read a debut (any year as long as it's an authors debut)
5- Book that's been on your tbr the longest.
So for this readathon I'm choosing 4 books to read and hopefully it won't be a disaster (like the last readathon *sigh). This time I'm hoping to get trough at least three of the 4 books. Also for reference I'll be starting this readathon at Malaysia time as I'm still here for the summer.
Challenge: Book with a Mental Illness and Debut Novel I literally just purchased this book like fresh from the bookstore just purchase this book and I kind of want to read it asap as I heard nothing but good stuff about this book and also its 'written' by Zoella who is one of my favorite bloggers/vloggers !!! Of cause I want to read it!
Challenge: Book set in your home country, Book that's been on your TBR for the longest I had this book sitting on my shelve for about a year after winning it in a Valentine Giveaway. I read the first book last year and just have yet to pick the second book aka this book. Also its an Aussie YA and even though Australia is not my Home Country, its my second home so I'm counting it for that challenge.
Challenge: LGBT Character Its a bit late/early for christmas but I really want to read this so yah... its valentine, I want to read cute happy cozy reads!
Challenge: Book with a Mental Illness, Debut Novel I also just fresh from the bookstore picked this up as 1) I really want to read this and finally can get my hands on it and 2) it was 25% off so of cause I could not resist a good bargain! Also a lot of book bloggers I follow say this is a great book so yah.. I'm convince hence why this book is on the pile.
So that's my TBR this round. Let me know in the comments if you're taking part in the readathon! Wish me luck and happy marathoning/reading!!

So I participated in my first ever Read-A-Thon that is the Read Your Bookshelve-A-Thon aka RYBSAT is hosted by Miranda from Bookss101 and Gary from BookNeedLove
The read-a-thon went from 1st Oct to 8st Oct. I have made a TBR blogpost where I planned on reading 5 books and all 5 books I read!
I started the read-a-thon on the sad side. The book follows Noelle who face being bullied in school. While I like the inspirational and positive notes of keeping strong when the going get's though, I had mix reaction with the main character as there were times here I round Noelle a bit too whiny and annoying. Even so I like the book and how it handled the heavy situations.
While I enjoyed Rachel Cohn & David Levithan other book Dash and Lily's book of dares, I was not that big of a fan of this. The characters took a while to warm up to and the pacing was a bit too fast. If this book had like 20-50 more pages I'll probably enjoy it more. Still it was a good read and the romance was quiet cute.
A great modern Pride and Prejudice retelling and a good spin to 'love hate relationship' romance.
Very
different from what i expected in a good way. It was refreshing to read
a book with a cliche blurb where the book turned out to be anything but
cliche. While I love most of the characters especially Elise and
her parents of cause there were a couple of characters that annoy the
heck out of me. I love the family value the book holds. Also I
could relate to having parents like Elise and her sisters as trust me
they will be thankful for having strict and grounded parents. It reminds me a bit of To All The Boys I love before and Isla and the happily ever after.
The book follows Mackenzie working at a spa for the summer that her ex-boyfriend happen to work there too. When her ex hit his head and looses his memory not to mention forgetting that he broke up with Mackenzie, she takes advantage of this with a string of revenges and pranks.
This was a really cool concept for a romance! I love the relationship between Mackenzie and Landon! It was both laugh out loud and ridiculously sweet. I also love reading about her bestfriend Bailey.
Piper is sent off to Italy and makes a bucket list of things she wants to accomplish during her trip in including falling for an Italian.
I love the concept of this book! It reminds me a bit of 13 little blue envelopes by Maureen Johnson without the envelopes and that it takes around Italy.
Surprisingly this book is more family and friend centric than the romance but it is still very enjoyable.
Overall my first experience was a success! I manage to achieve my goal of reading all 5 books, knock out a chunk of my ever growing TBR pile and read a total of 1302 pages.
I will definitely be participating in future read-a-thons so if you know any upcoming read-a-thons let me know in the comments!
Thank you so much to Miranda and Gary for hosting the read-a-thon! Can't wait for the next round!
Also check out the video where i chit chat about the books!

The shelve I'm choosing
During this read-a-thon you pick a place on your book shelf and read the books from there on. This books are on the 'lighter' side of the shelve where most book are paperback and under 400 pages and that they are small to carry around as I will be on holiday so I don't want to bring thick books or hard back books around.
TBR GOAL
My aim is to read at least 4 books but I choose 5 for if time permits!
